Art Trade for Lokotei

The theme of this art trade was "Draw the other person's character." I chose Jade Phoenix. She chose Sara. Here's my submission.

This picture wasn't quite what I expected: I guess that's what you get when you scan in a picture AFTER you color it with markers. . . I had to fiddle around with the hue and saturation a bit to get the colors just right, and I still couldn't get rid of a few of the "ghost lines" that weren't visible in the original pic, but stick out like a sore thumb when the whole thing was scanned. (I print my inked picture in very light grey tones, then color it with COPIC markers and redo the outlines with Sakura Microns.) I'll probably wind up redoing the colors. . . but in terms of composition and the lineart, I'm quite pleased.

EDIT: I've since largely stopped using COPIC markers. . . which is a bit of a shame, because they're a lot of fun, but photoshop really does the job much better.
