Report a Policy Violation
For those who have many watchers, and for those who don’t have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

Artist's Comments
The theme of this art trade was "Draw the other person's character." I chose Jade Phoenix. She chose Sara. Here's my submission.
This picture wasn't quite what I expected: I guess that's what you get when you scan in a picture AFTER you color it with markers. . . I had to fiddle around with the hue and saturation a bit to get the colors just right, and I still couldn't get rid of a few of the "ghost lines" that weren't visible in the original pic, but stick out like a sore thumb when the whole thing was scanned. (I print my inked picture in very light grey tones, then color it with COPIC markers and redo the outlines with Sakura Microns.) I'll probably wind up redoing the colors. . . but in terms of composition and the lineart, I'm quite pleased. ----- EDIT: I've since largely stopped using COPIC markers. . . which is a bit of a shame, because they're a lot of fun, but photoshop really does the job much better. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments. The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art.
