Yup. I'm doing it again this year. Another shot at writing 50,000 words. God help us all.

They do sneak up on you. It's weird, but RPG.Net remembered that it was my birthday before I did.

Random thoughts.

1. The economy is tight, and even Expo is feeling it. A little less free swag, a little less extravagance. The love is still there.

2. OMG Da Capo translated into English AAAAAAAAAAGH Moe-Sempai!

3. This was my first time seeing the AMV contest. Quite fun. Seeing Dead Fantasy before hand also awesome. Non-Spoilered verdict: Tifa is badass.

4. Bought two figures on a whim my first day there. Apparently I picked up two fairly rare figures (Gift Saber, loose hair edition, and Ignis Yamato, transparent hair and clothing) that someone who is more knowledgeable on them claims are like the holy grail for collectors of those particular characters. . . who will probably scream and tear their hair out because I actually intend to open the boxes. . .

5. Betrayal at the House on the Hill is great fun.

6. Note to self: put some effort into next year's costume idea.

7. If at first you get bored at the con, put on your ninja mask and start skulking.

8. The Japanese have apparently put quite a bit of thought into mechanical aids for masturbation, if the Mangagamer booth is any indication.

9. Increased presence of dakimakuras and first sighting of erotic bedsheets at this con. Half expecting to see an otaku carrying his waifu around next year.

10. Beef Jerky is good.

I don't even know any more

I will be attending Anime Expo in Los Angeles, CA on July 3-5, 2009 (Friday through Sunday), and may possibly be running a game of Meido RPG during that time. Keep an eye on this space.

And now Ed McMahon, Michael Jackson, and Farah Fawcett are dead too. What the fuck.

ANIME

1. Futari Ecchi - Anime Erotica in the best sense of the word. This is not pr0n. This is a surprisingly sensitive look at the love life of a young married couple learning how to be husband and wife. See if you can find a fansub, it's worth watching for you 18+folk.

2. Saishukeiki Kanojou (Saikano) - What if you fell in love, and the girl you loved turned out to be a weapon of mass destruction? Teenage love and hormones on the one hand, total destruction on the other. "The Last Love Song on This Little Planet" indeed. The manga, by the way, is more explicit than the anime.

Your not alone...I too know how it feels to lose a family member. My family lives in Honda, Colombia. And sometimes they hardly have enough money to afford a docter & clothes.
